Paraty Casa do Rio Hostel is the only one in the city certified by Hosteling International.

Paraty Hostel is the first and only hostel that is a member of Hostelling International. It is located just 2 blocks from the historic center and the bus station (5 minutes walk).

With room for 70 guests, Paraty Hostel is dedicated to visitors from all over the world seeking a clean, comfortable and friendly place to stay.

Paraty Hostel offers rooms for couples, families or shared accommodations for those traveling alone who wish to meet new people, all with private baths. All the rooms have comfortable beds and ceiling fans.

Breakfast is complete with sweet and salty breads, cakes, fruits, crackers, ham, cheese, jams, butter, coffee, milk and hot chocolate.

Paraty Hostel offers a TV room with a collection of DVD’s and cable TV as well as 2 fully equipped kitchens for your use. As well as accommodations Paraty Hostel is also a travel agency.

Numerous different adventure programs are offered daily: boat trips (visit beaches & islands), jeep excursions (waterfalls & mountains), kayaks, horseback riding, rappel, canyoning (canyoneering), recreational tree climbing, diving classes, surfing classes and more.

For those who need to use the internet to keep in contact with family and friends and plan further travels free internet access is available with headsets, Skype and a CD recorder to burn those images of your last trip.

Paraty Hostel also maintains a bar for those that love Caipirinhas and Brazilian Cachaça with: sweet cakes, soft drinks, beer, water, sweets, caipirinha, cachaça and all types of music from Popular Brazilian Music (MPB) to R&B.

Enjoy a beautiful sunrise or sunset from the comfortable deck over the riverbank or just lay back and read a book in a comfortable deck chair or take a dip in the pool.
